Hello Folks!
We have been blown away by the outpouring of interest, the generosity of support, and the excitement for this project we are undertaking. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to all of you!
Embarking on this project has been both inspiring and nerve-wracking. The initial seed was to collectivize our writing work against the endless search for outlets, the humility of independent contracting, and the needless competition among all of us who are writing against empire and seeking the same thing, its imminent downfall. And yet, asking for help and support is often condemned in the capitalist world of individual productivity. Even when we imagine a world based on mutual care that enables autonomy, we are often afraid to tell each other when we are struggling. Because of you, we see our call finds resonance and that all of you want to see CAW put into action.
The four of us have spent countless hours trying to get work instead of doing the work we feel is part of our contribution to what must be a collective struggle to destroy this world and build another. It always feels like tomorrow, next week, next month, we’ll finally get to sit down and write, record a conversation, edit a podcast to share . . . All of you who have been so generous to share some of your resources to help us get started are making it possible for us to allow for more time to concentrate and make the things we want to share with you.
The best way to continue to help is to share our campaign far and wide. Help us let people know that we are making a new anarchist journal of arts and culture in order to provide inspiration and multiply the possibilities of bringing a world of autonomy into being.
